  • Add designated merging (auxiliary) lanes between each freeway ramp in both directions of U.S. 395 between Golden Valley Road and Lemmon Drive.
  • Install new traffic signal system at Golden Valley Road interchange to replace the existing temporary signal system. The interchange will also be realigned, with two lanes to access southbound U.S. 395.
  • Rehabilitate pavement on U.S. 395 in both directions between Golden Valley Road and Stead Boulevard.
  • Construction of sound walls, retaining walls, lighting and intelligent transportation system upgrades and striping, roadside signs, landscape and aesthetic and drainage improvements.
  • Wider highway shoulders will provide additional safety as well as room for enhanced incident management and roadside response.
